I spent the summer
writing songs about the way my year went
in the hopes I won't forget.

You spent the summer sorting stacks
the way I did last March.
It's a while before you're gone.

And I'd still remember you,
even if I didn't want to.
I wrote some songs about a place I used to live,
but this new town's starting to feel like home.
